Neil D. Morris is an author, keynote speaker, and fractional technology executive who has spent more than 25 years leading IT inside public and private organizations — across aerospace, defense, energy, and other regulated environments, at every scale. He has modernized infrastructure, hardened cybersecurity in highly regulated, security-sensitive environments, and delivered AI and data capabilities from concept to production.
A two-time ORBIE-nominated CIO and Forbes Technology Council member, Neil writes and speaks on the leadership discipline behind successful AI adoption. His book, Why AI Fails: The Leadership Discipline Behind the 5% Who Succeed, introduces the Seven Pillar AI Adoption Framework — Strategic Clarity, Leadership Alignment, Capability Building, Pilot Discipline, Scale Strategy, Risk Management, and Continuous Evolution.
Neil is the founder and principal of Authentic Tech Leadership, an advisory practice and practitioner publishing house. His core belief is simple: technology doesn’t fail organizations — leadership does. Neil is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
